Katie Sielschott is the proud owner of Keeping the Nest. Originally from Conneaut Ohio, Katie has lived in the Lima area with her husband Tim for the past five years. They currently reside in Bluffton with their many animals.
To fulfill her dream of being a small business owner, Katie began to develop a business concept that would utilize her many strengths and abilities. "I wanted to use my skills to help others get more enjoyment out of their lives. So I began to think of things that people struggle with on a daily basis. The first thing I thought of was time – no body ever has enough! I am a chronic multi-tasker and have often wished there were TWO of me to do all the day-to-day things that need to get done. That’s how I came up with the idea of Keeping the Nest. I get the opportunity to do things I enjoy doing, make life easier for people and give them more TIME!"
A proud Buckeye, Katie holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Studies from The Ohio State University. Her varied employment history has given her the opportunity to work with a variety of people from many walks of life. From working as a private nanny, to substance abuse counseling, to being the right-hand lady of Just Ducky's owner Ducky Allen, Katie prides herself in hard work and the ability to meet the needs of others.
